RENEWING YOUR TEXAS NOTARY COMMISSION

COMMISSION RENEWAL SERVICE
Use our free notary public renewal reminder service to ensure that your Texas notary public commission is continued without a lapse in certification. Simply fill out the linked notary applicant questionnaire form and return it to Atkinson Bros. Agency electronically, by fax, or by mail. We will contact you by mail when it is time to renew your commission. There is no additional fee for this renewal reminder service.

QUALIFICATIONS
You must be:

at least 22 years of age
a legal resident of the State of Texas (US citizenship is not required)
of good moral character

INSTRUCTIONS FOR RENEWING A NOTARY PUBLIC COMMISSION
Within four months of the expiration of your current commission, fill out the Texas State Notary Application and return it to Atkinson Bros. Agency along with your payment. The form must be printed and signed in all three places, then returned to Atkinson Bros. Agency by mail. The form you return to us must be an original, printed copy with your signature.

Upon receipt, we will complete your bond renewal and submit your application for commission renewal directly to the Secretary of State. Your commission will be renewed and you will receive the certification and supplies needed to continue notary services for the next four years. If application is received before 90 days prior to your expression date, we will hold the application until it is time to submit. If application is received 5 days prior or after your expiration date a new commission date will be established buy the Texas Secretary of State.

Renewing your Notary Licensing includes:
Texas State Statutory 4-Year Filing Fee	$21.00
Notary Bond (required by Texas Law) $10,000 limit, 4-year term underwritten by RLI Surety of Peoria, IL, or Western Surety Company of Sioux Falls, SD	$50.00
Individual Professional Liability Insurance (Recommended but not mandated by the Texas Secretary of State) No deductible! 4-year aggregate $35,000 coverage Fully portable, even if your employer carries group professional liability insurance	$60.00
Notary Supplies Package I - Self-inking Stamp/Seal (Required by Texas Law) - Texas Notary Public Handbook	$18.50

Employer/Group Notary Professional Liability Insurance For additional information or to order group coverage please call Atkinson Bros. Agency at (800) 929-6093 or (713) 664-4021. No deductible $35,000 annual coverage per notary AND employer $17,500 annual legal defense coverage per notary AND employer ALL notaries employed by the named insured are covered 24 hours a day ALL notaries hired or appointed are AUTOMATICALLY INSURED without a requirement to report until renewal. Underwritten by RLI Insurance Company, Peoria, IL.	$66.00/year (up to three notaries) $22.00/year each additional notary
